When we got our golden retriever as a puppy at 8 weeks old, he was the light of our life! We continued feeding him what he was fed when we got him but about 4 weeks in, he suddenly started having major intestinal issues (vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy). We tried a handful of the major brands’ pet food and they all just made it worse. Vet labs were inconclusive and we were told to stay to a strict chicken and rice diet. It helped but it was unrealistic for us to continue doing long term. Lost, we went to a local pet store (Petropolis in St. Louis Park) and he recommended Nutrisource Large Breed Puppy. I had never heard of it so I was a little skeptical but after he explained it was local and family made, I was on board to try it out. Almost overnight our Jonah was a completely different dog. No more vomiting or stool issues and full of happy energy. Plus, he loved it! I am SO happy for this brand of food and wish everyone knew about it! Way better than the big brand names and super competitive in price. We will soon be switching to Nutrisource Big Breed Adult and I have no doubt it will be just as great as the puppy food.
